Election Law Symposium

The 2000 election raised issues of historical significance in the selection of the U.S. President. This day-long symposium brought together noted scholars to address some of the legal and constitutional disputes in this important election. Discussion focused around issues at the convergence of election, constitutional, and administrative law. These include the roles of state and local election practices in presidential selection, the Fourteenth Amendment, the role of state constitutions, and the Twelfth Amendment and the electoral college selection process.

A recent issue of Florida State University Law Review is devoted to papers and comments from the symposium.
