Our mission is to foster research and learning for the students and faculty of the College of Law. We offer practical legal research instruction, an experienced and helpful staff, and an incredible array of information resources and services. Access to over 400 databases of law and law-related information is available on and off campus (Off Campus Access). Our extensive collections also include 500,000+ volumes of United States and international law resources. The multidisciplinary holdings of the University Libraries are available a short walk from the Law School.
The Research Center Library Faculty consists of three librarians with professional library degrees and seven attorney/librarians. We consult with students on research projects, provide individual "Book-A-Librarian" sessions for law firm jobs or externships, and teach for-credit advanced legal research courses in a variety of subjects, including business, environmental, international, and tax. Our experienced and helpful staff provide services such as circulation, course reserve, interlibrary loan, acquisitions and document delivery.
Over 400 seats are available in our reading rooms and 15 group study rooms. Law students and faculty have 24/7 access to the Research Center. Research assistance is available to students in the library and at http://guides.law.fsu.edu/studentref.
I hope you'll visit the Research Center library when you're on campus or visit us virtually at http://www.law.fsu.edu/library/. Your thoughts and suggestions are always welcome! We look forward to meeting you soon, and wish you great success at The Florida State University School of Law!
